Alex (back-up guitar):
Ever wonder why the mysterious "friend" who plays back-up guitar doesn't have a page for himself? Or who the kid wearing the mask at our shows with the blue guitar is? Yah...I didn't think so....But anyways, this kid is called Alex. He doesn't get a page to himself because: 1.) I don't wanna make up a new page, 2.) he doesn't have that much to say, 3.) I just don't like him (haha, I'm kidding, or am I?)...So here's a little bit of space for him:

right now, Alex is just haning around, he's not invited to practices because we haven't had very many lately, because i just dont like him (you decide if im kidding, theres a good chance i am, but im pretty volatile), and because Danny and I haven't had much of a chance to go over his new music which involves a second guitar part...so whenever that happens, maybe we'll let him come to a practice...maybe...

(ok, Alex asked me to give him a little credit on the site cause i make him seem "bad" or something...well, yah, here ya go, dude: Alex is NOT evil, though I may make him sound it. he does do a little for the band because he backs me up on the Good Charlotte covers we play, and I do appreciate that. thanks bro...i still hate ya...haha...)

Other News:

Sara: Rancid, Tiger Army, and The Nekromantix
Alright, so as you guys might now, I spend yesterday evening (Nov. 10) at the Wiltern, seeing my second favorite band, Rancid, and the the two best psychobilly bands ever: Tiger Army and the Nekromantix. This show was....it was amazing. All the bands rocked the frickin' hell out of that stage. The sets were long and the music was great. If you have a chance to see any of these bands, go! Do yourself a favor and get tickets because there's absolutely no way you can be dissappointed. Lars Frederiksen of Rancid played on of the most awesome shows I've ever seen and, both Tiger Army and Rancid, had me singing along during every song at the top of my lungs, amonst screaming and yelling because of my excitement. The only reason I don't include the Nekromantix in my "singing fun" is because I didn't really know them too well, and so I didn't know much of their lyrics, plus, the songs I did know, they didn't play. Needless to say, I'll be getting their records very soon because I am now a big fan of theirs.

Memorable Moments:
Kim Nekroman (Nekromantix) sliding around on his bass and playing fast riffs with his fingers on the other side of the fret board, and just about all of his little tricks while playing.
During the Tiger Army set when they played "When Night Comes Down," and Geoff Kresge usually calls out "The nights mine!," but didn't and let the crowd yell it for him. Well, it was just amazing that so many people all yelled that at the same time. It was great because I love that part of the song, and it seems others in the crowd were waiting for it, too. I was also very glad to see Mr. Fred Hell playing, too. (If you don't know, Fred was shot four times a few months ago and has recovered extremely well, considering he was shot in the head and a bullet is now in his brain, and he was shot in the back, which collapsed his lungs. This event was terrible, but to see him back so quickly and playing so awesome again is just brilliant.)
When Lars played "To Have and To Have Not," a cover of Billy Bragg which he released with his side band, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, that was great. Also, when he played "The Wars End," from "...And Out Come the Wolves," that was awesome, too. Both songs he played by himself and it rocked because he let the crowd sing most of each song and you could see his face light up when almost everyone knew the words and was singing their heart out. Lars' stage presence alone made the set a fantastic one. Tim's kind of a maniac and ran around most of the time with his mic and Matt is one of the best bass players ever, so to just watch him was fun alone. I was very happy that they gave Matt two of his songs to sing because we don't usually here to much from him, but he rocked his songs hard!
Other things that made that night incredible awesome included: receiving one of Nick 13's (Tiger Army) guitar picks (that he used during the show) after the show from one of their roadies, hanging out and talking to Tiger Army after the show, having Tiger Army autograph my ticket, waiting for Rancid in the back of the Wiltern (they never showed up and we are guessing they left early, though I did see Lars looking at me from a window about half way through our wait. After that, I didn't see anymore of them.), and switching from my Tiger Army shirt to my Rancid shirt before Rancid came on stage (the only reason that was kind of cool was that it showed my support for both bands.).

And so that's about it. That's my night right there. It was awesome and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Alright, well this has been really long and so I'm gonna get going.
Talk to you all some more soon.
Sincerely,
Sara
